I was teaching English at he University of Hawaii, 1969, when I contacted Phil through Mike. UH students were hipping anti-war and draft resistance. hoping he would perform at UH. He did. I got to hang out with him and Mike. He was then really a mellow and sweet guy. I love his songs. I will never forget him.
